'Schumacher is Bradman of Formula One'

Here's what Yahoo! reader Amit had to say on Sebastian Vettel vs Michael Schumacher debate.

...remember champions in the past have delivered and stayed at the peak for only a couple of seasons. Very few have been at the peak for five years and nobody had been in peak form for two decades.

If someone goes through the history of Formula One or any sport, it is seen Champions at the twilight of their career have been found to become back-benchers except for Schumi. He can still give any frontline driver a run for their money with a winning car.

A driver's true test is to deliver when things are not going too well or with an average car. And Schumi has won race after race, been on the podium and has been at the peak for years, not always with the best car.

I have been watching Formula One since 1996 when Star Sports first started beaming it. We all know Schumi has won seven championships but just check how times he has been second best and/or has narrowly missed the championship.

He is like Bradman of Cricket. We should talk about Vettel only after 5 or 10 years, before that it would be too early to comment.

Do you agree?
